You will be required to pass three (3) or four (4) written Knowledge Tests before you will be issued a CDL learner’s permit. Every school bus driver must pass a:

• General Knowledge Test
  • Fifty (50) questions
• Passenger Endorsement Test
  • Twenty (20) questions
• School Bus Endorsement Test
  • Twenty-five (25) questions

If you wish to have the L restriction removed in order to drive air brake equipped buses you must also pass a:

• Air Brake Test
  • Twenty-five (25) questions
