Inspect

Each of these indicators should work when the vehicle starts and when the corresponding lights are turned on:

• Left turn signal indicator
• Right turn signal indicator
• Four-way hazard lights indicator
• High beam indicator
• Strobe light indicator
• Alternating amber lights indicator
• Alternating red lights indicator
• ABS indicator on dashboard
• DEF indicator, if equipped

When I activate the alternating red lights I also inspect that the stop arm, including its lights are operational and the safety arm extends in front. The control I use to operate this also operates the entry door. The door must operate smoothly and close securely from the inside.
